Once we have an overview of what your challenges are we discuss the possible approaches that would be the best “fit” in your particular situation. For example: Psychosynthesis A way of looking at the world as well as a therapy, it is about helping different parts of the personality work together instead of battling it out! Most people are aware of their inner critic, and their inner child, but we have lots of “subpersonalities” and the better they get on the more creative life becomes. The Metaphysical Approach (based on the work of Louise Hay.) If you know the film “The Secret” you will know something of this work. The more creative and constructive your beliefs, the richer your reality becomes. We support you in letting go of struggle and old beliefs that may be keeping you stuck. Solution Focussed Therapy Very good for short term work on a specific issue eg redundancy. It is a very practical way of opening yourself to new possibilities and the steps you need to take. Life Coaching & Goal Mapping. People get stuck because of old beliefs and subconscious pictures of failure. You will learn how to use the imagination to reprogramme those old beliefs and start creating the reality that you want. Stress Management A programme which can be done either as a series of individual coaching sessions or in a one day workshop. There are written exercises and specific techniques including affirmations and meditation to help you manage every day challenges effectively. Communication/Self Presentation/Self Confidence Using a synthesis of Body/Mind, Gestalt and Breathwork techniques, we look at what you want to change in your life and how you can bring more of your whole self into line to achieve your goals - how you can be more congruent and ‘walk your talk’ more effectively in daily life and in the world at large. In practice these are not totally water tight compartments but are streams of inspiration from which we draw the best response to your specific needs. The underlying philosophy is that there is more to life than meets the eye and more to each individual than we have seen so far. Often.much more! We believe it is never too late and that the keys to your best life are within you, we just help you reach them! For the largely talk-based sessions (coaching/counselling) we work mostly by telephone, though face to face sessions are also possible in the SE London area, (London Bridge or New Cross). Other sessions will usually be face to face, again in SE London. Depending on your situation, there may be some assignments in between sessions to help you go deeper and faster. We review progress after 6 weeks and ask for a commitment to a series of 6 sessions at a time. Your feed back is a crucial part of the review of course! Some telephone/email support is available in between sessions, this will be agreed at the initial interview. When you have completed your programme we hope you will stay in touch and you may come back for a “top up” or refresher at any time. We will stay in touch by newsletter and you are invited to join us for occasional events.
