Home We offer services that support people in managing stress and living life to the full. We have a particular interest in working within education, which we know is at times a very stressful environment. We offer individual coaching and counselling, and a training in stress management which is especially tailored for teachers. Our aim is to help staff - Understand what is causing them stress.
- Understand how to improve their resilience.
- Improve communication skills (disagreements and misunderstandings are a major source of stress.
- Move forward after a major challenge such as bereavement or divorce.
- Cope when under pressure, such as an inspection.
- Devise their own Stress Management Plan, tailored to their individual needs and preferences.
All of our courses include the physical, emotional and intellectual aspects of stress and options for dealing with all of these. Although intended to be relaxing and enjoyable, they are primarily about empowering people to take charge of monitoring and managing their own stress on an ongoing basis. When stress is managed well, absenteeism is reduced and staff morale rises. Not all stress is preventable, and a certain amount is needed for us to feel properly stretched, but too much is damaging physically, mentally and emotionally. Since April 2008 new government legislation has placed a duty on employers to take steps to assist their employees in preventing undue stress. We will also undertake a stress audit if required. We offer training in several formats. - One day workshop, suitable for inset.
